Founded in 1583, the University of Edinburgh is one of the six oldest and largest universities in the UK. It is located in the very heart of Scotland’s capital Edinburgh. The university currently operates two Joint Institutes with leading Chinese partners: The Zhejiang University-University of Edinburgh Institute (ZJE) and Shanghai International College of Fashion and Innovation, Donghua University (SCF College). The Zhejiang University-University of Edinburgh Institute (ZJU-UoE Institute) is a collaboration in the field of Biomedical Sciences between UoE and ZJU. These two premier universities have established a joint international research institute at the International Campus of Zhejiang University in Haining, Zhejiang, building on the existing strengths of both institutions to foster collaborations in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research. Shanghai International College of Fashion and Innovation, Donghua University (SCF College) is a joint institution of international education jointly established by UoE and DHU. SCF College has two undergraduate programmes: Fashion Innovation and Interior Design.
We have a range of other longstanding partnerships centred around education and research. The University of Edinburgh is a key partner in the China-UK Low Carbon College with Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Here we collaboratively offer master programmes in Low Carbon Environment and Low Carbon Energy.
