Event Details

The BritCham Education Committee is pleased to host the BritCham Literacy Festival—bringing together our member community, and importantly their families, for a warm and engaging celebration of literature.

This event will spotlight the richness and global impact of British literature, from timeless classics to contemporary voices, while also exploring how Chinese literature has been influenced by British storytelling traditions.

This morning will begin with a curated panel discussion titled “The Global Influence of British Literature and Its Cultural Echoes in China”, featuring educators, writers, and literary professionals.

Discussion Highlights will include:

• The enduring legacy of British authors in shaping literary thought worldwide

• How British literary themes resonate with Chinese readers and writers

• The role of literature in cross-cultural education and understanding

• A spotlight on contemporary British voices and their global relevance

• Reflections on how storytelling bridges nations, generations, and ideas

Following the discussion, guests are invited to a relaxed networking session with drinks and light refreshments—a perfect opportunity to connect, exchange book recommendations, and spark cross-cultural conversations around literature.

Whether you’re a lifelong fan of British authors or simply curious about the stories that have shaped generations, we welcome you to be part of this literary celebration.
