Jasmine PANG joined Phoenix TV in 2023. She holds a master’s degree in journalism from Fudan University and a bachelor’s degree from Shanghai International Studies University. Jasmine used to work in Shanghai Municipal Information Office, Shanghai Publicity Department, Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination and Expo Shanghai Group.

In 2016, Jasmine founded Branding Shanghai, a non-profit organisation which organised Shanghai’s city branding campaigns including “Shanghai. Let’s Meet!” campaign in London (2016-2017), Liverpool (2018-2019) and Tokyo (2019); “China Focus” of Edinburgh Festivals (2017-2019); Photofairs Shanghai (2017-2023), and other major international events.

Jasmine has also compered many big international conferences including the World Urban Forum organised by UN-Habitat in Kuala Lumpur 2018 and in Abu Dhabi 2020; the China-UK Business Forum in Shanghai in February 2018, with the presence of former British Prime Minister Theresa May.

From 2020 to 2023, Jasmine served as the cultural advisor and promotion partner for Wong Kar Wai’s dramatic series Blossoms Shanghai.

Barbara began her career in the FCDO in 1999 while still at University. Once she graduated, Barbara took sabbatical to set up an education consultancy company in Hong Kong. She returned to take up a secondment to the Hong Kong and China Desk for the Department for Business and Trade (Former UK Trade and Investment). She studied Mandarin at SOAS in her spare time and went on to be posted to the British Embassy in Beijing.

Barbara has worked on UN Security Council policy and was posted to Kabul where she worked on reforming the Afghan Police Force. In 2011, Barbara was Head of the Political Team in the British Embassy in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Prior to becoming Deputy Consul General, Barbara was Deputy Head of Mission in the British Embassy in Guatemala City.

Barbara holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and Human Biology and speaks fluent Vietnamese, Hungarian, Acholi (Uganda) and Spanish.

Acting as the senior representative of University of Edinburgh in East Asia, Grace is responsible for raising the profile and advancing engagement across the region, looking after the strategic and ambitious partnership the university has with governments, private sectors, and research institutes. Grace plays a leading role in the China Strategy for the university. She also leads her team to develop diverse activities including alumni engagement, research collaboration, developing connections and opportunities for the university across East Asia.

Prior to the role, Grace worked for the British Consulate General Shanghai for over 7 years as the Senior Political officer, leading the UK Government’s Civil Society and value-based initiatives, while managing the Official Development Assistance fund in East China. Grace has been nominated as a Global Scot by the Scottish Development International, for her continuous efforts in strengthening the links between Scotland and Asia.
