Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Supply Chain Industry Factory Tour

BritCham Shanghai’s Advanced Engineering & Manufacturing (AE&M) Committee is delighted to partner with AustCham and SwissCham to co-host the Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Supply Chain Industry Factory Tour on Friday, 19 July.

During the tour, we will visit the BlueScope factory and the BOBST (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. plant. The event will feature keynote presentations on best practices from a sustainability perspective. Additionally, members will have the opportunity to learn about construction and investment in the Songjiang District.

Due to the space limitation, this event is approval-required.

Butler Shanghai (BlueScope Group)

BlueScope is a global leader in metal coating and painting products for building and construction industries, providing vital components for houses, buildings, structures, vehicles and more.

Butler is a business group of BlueScope, a steel-making company in Australia which plays an important role in the world steel industry. Butler (Shanghai) Inc. was officially put into operation in 1995, with a total area of 74,000 square meters, of which the production workshop covers an area of about 20,000 square meters. Butler Songjiang plant has a new production line for building structure system and green building material, including purlins, roof panels, and wall panels. The annual production capacity reaches 2 million square meters of building area. It is one of the leading suppliers of PEB total solutions in East China.

BOBST

BOBST is one of the world’s leading suppliers of substrate processing, printing and converting equipment and services.

BOBST (Shanghai) Co., Ltd is a subsidiary of the BOBST Group in Shanghai. With a production area of 33,000 square meters and over 300 employees, they are committed to the research, development, manufacturing, sales, and technical support of high-end packaging machinery and equipment, including die-cutters, high-speed folder gluers and hot foil stamping machines etc.

• Transport is arranged by AustCham Shanghai and Songjiang Government.
• Safety Caveat: For the factory tour, long-sleeved shirts, closed-toe flat shoes and pants are required. Hair must be tied up for females.
