Reputation Management in the Education Industry

As a Partner and Head of the FGS Global Shanghai Office, Claudia Kosser brings more than a decade of communications experience with clients from various sectors to her clients. She is versed in handling corporate communications matters and strategic positioning, as well as M&A transactions and crisis situations.

In 2019, she launched the firm’s Shanghai office, after working with the firm in the Frankfurt and Hong Kong offices. Claudia is a cross-culture communication expert with strengths in conceptualisation and structuring projects – recently she has been involved in deal communications, internal and CEO positioning, regulatory mapping and crisis preparation and handling.

Claudia was shortlisted for the Women Leading Change Award 2020.

Prior to joining the firm, she has worked with Daimler and the BMW Foundation. She holds a Master’s in Communication Management from Leipzig University (GER) and a Bachelor’s degree in European Studies from the University of Maastricht (NL). Claudia is a German native speaker, fluent in English and has conversational knowledge of French and Dutch and basics in Mandarin.

Charlotte is an experienced Early Years practitioner and Executive Head of Early Years at Wellington College, Shanghai.  She holds a BA(Hons) degree in Geography from the University of Oxford and completed her PGCE, specialising in Early Years and Primary pedagogy, at Oxford Brookes University and went on to gain vast experience in ‘Outstanding schools’ in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, UK. During her time in the UK she was an active participant in Oxfordshire County Moderation teams in addition to mentoring a number of successful PGCE students. She has lived in China for 6 years.

Charlotte is the Designated Safeguarding Leader (DSL) for the Early Years Campus and is a qualified trainer of Level 3 Safeguarding professionals. She works closely across the Wellington College Group (WCC) to support high standards in safeguarding for pupils and staff. She was also part of the Crisis Management Team during Covid.

Born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland, Paul studied at the University of Strathclyde and received a bachelor’s degree with Honours in Physics, Mathematics and Education. Paul is currently pursuing the NPQH qualification for Headteachers alongside studying for his MBA.

Paul began his educational career in Scotland as a Physics and Mathematics teacher before making the transition to international education which has included spells in Romania, the UAE, London and now Shanghai. He has been teaching for fourteen years, with the last nine of those in a range of educational leadership positions. His professional and educational experiences have afforded him the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of people to raise the profile of British Education overseas, increase student attainment and promote student and staff wellbeing.

His educational philosophy is based on his uncompromising belief that all students can learn, given a positive learning environment, strong and knowledgeable leadership, a committed and focused educational team, and an encouraging and supportive community.
