Event details

This session is part of BritCham Shanghai’s SDG event series and focuses on SDG 13: Climate Action.

BritCham Shanghai invites sustainability experts from governments, the private sector and research institutes to join the 13th session of our SDG series. This session is supported by the Chamber’s ESG Committee.

Increased heatwaves, droughts and floods caused by climate change are destroying the planet and affecting billions of lives worldwide.

UN Sustainable Development Goal 13 urges us to take action to combat climate change and its impacts. Climate change is now affecting every country on every continent. It is disrupting national economies and affecting lives, costing people, and communities.

Doing nothing will end up costing us a lot more than if we take action now.

BritCham Shanghai SDG Series –Carbon Neutrality- The Key to Avert a Climate Crisis will take place on Wednesday, 14 Sept and focus on how to achieve a low-carbon, climate-resilient transition and realize low carbon growth. The experts will share their insight into integrating climate change measures into national policies, corporate strategies, and planning.

Attendees will gain first-hand insights from experts into carbon neutrality and network with like-minded professionals who are passionate about making our world a better place.
