Workshop Sessions

Session 1
  • “Leadership in the AI era: where technology meets humanity” by Mandy Xu and Yifan Wang

*This session needs students bring their mobile phone to the workshop.

  • “AI and Sci-fi: the relation between technology and imagination” by Colin Chen and Li Yang

This workshop invites you to explore how artificial intelligence is shaped not only by engineers and scientists, but also by science fiction writers. We’ll examine the origins of influential ideas—such as the metaverse, artificial intelligence, and embodied intelligence—and consider where researchers and tech giants may be steering these technologies next. Together, we’ll look at the parallels between cutting-edge technologies and science fiction, including predictions made by authors and filmmakers.

Central to our discussion will be the questions: What’s happening now? What might the future hold? And how should we respond to these changes alongside AI?

*This session needs students bring their laptop to the workshop.

Session 2
  • “Leaders in the Spotlight” by Konnor Davis

Teamwork Meets Technology: AI-Driven Drama Exercises for Collaborative Leadership

What do acting and artificial intelligence have in common? Both thrive on creativity and connection! This workshop uses drama games and AI-powered activities to help students build trust, solve problems together, and shine as leaders in any setting.

*What to Bring: Yourself, your voice, and your imagination. (Bonus points if you bring a sense of humor and a team-player spirit!)

  • “Artificial Intelligence & Ethics: Frameworks for a Responsible Future” by Nikola Serafimov

The purpose of this session is to help students understand what some of the most pressing ethical challenges are that governments and tech firms face, as AI is gaining momentum and disrupting industries across the world, and what are the responses that we want to consider in response to these changes.

Session 3
  • “The Value of Empathy for Leaders in a Tech/AI World” by Ian Crawford
