SOE Competition & Market Distortion Roundtable

BritCham Shanghai would like to invite our members to join our roundtable discussion organised in partnership with CBBC and the Department of Business & Trade (DBT).

This roundtable is a new initiative developed by CBBC together with our partners to produce a series of short ‘Industrial White Papers’ which will be shared ONLY with DBT & FCDO colleagues both in the Embassy & Whitehall to guide and influence opinion and decision making on each topic.

The roundtable will include a small group of 6-8 UK companies representing various industries related to SOE competition and market distortion. We will also be joined by DBT colleagues visiting from the UK including:

• Marie Langrishe from DBT HQ Bilateral Trade Relations China & Hong Kong Team (covering market access and business environment – procurement, SOEs, etc. across sectors);
• Tom Akhgar from the Trading Systems team (covering market-distorting practices).
