Crystal is the leading partner of consumer business and retail industry in Financial Advisory Services of Deloitte China. She is an experienced partner who, since joining Deloitte, has worked on over 200 commercial due diligence, market entry strategy, partner/target screening projects covering luxury goods, consumer goods and retail, F&B, sports and logistics sectors in the last 15 years.

Crystal’s main clients include leading luxury goods and retail enterprises such as Chanel, Buccellati, Delvaux, Yili, Wumart, Bailian, Suning, etc., and leading PE customers such as Sequoia Capital, IDG Capital, Primavera Capital, Morgan Stanley Private Equity Fund, China Merchants Capital, etc.

Prior to joining Deloitte, Crystal worked for a family office specialized in luxury retail/art/lifestyle investment, and one of the world’s largest retailers.

Shameen Prashantham is a Professor of International Business and Strategy, and Associate Dean (MBA), at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai, China. Prior to joining CEIBS, he taught at Nottingham University Business School (NUBS) China and the University of Glasgow. He pursued doctoral and post-doctoral research at Strathclyde University in Glasgow, Scotland. Prof. Prashantham is best known for his work at intersection of global strategy and entrepreneurship on partnering between large multinationals and startups and is currently focused on partnerships that contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). His latest book is Gorillas Can Dance: Lessons from Microsoft and Other Corporations on Partnering with Startups Wiley, 2022).

Yang PENG received her undergraduate, MPhil, and PhD degrees at the University of Cambridge with First Class Honors and Distinction for her dissertation. As an outstanding international student representative, she was cordially received by Li Keqiang, the Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, in person in 2014, during his visit to the UK.

PENG’s first entrepreneurial venture was Orange Co., Ltd,, a cooperative which integrated the entire supply chain of the Fengjie Navel Orange to alleviate rural poverty. In June 2018, she presented this story at the United Nations in New York during the opening ceremony of the exhibition “Better Life, Dream Come True-Poverty Alleviation in China”. In 2019, she won the honor of “National Outstanding Female Role Model”. She was also awarded titles of “National Outstanding Youth” & “National Top 10 Entrepreneur” and has been certified as an “Outstanding Contributor to Poverty Reduction and Rural Revival”.

Dr Zhang Guoxiong is the Managing Director of Deloitte China’s Economic Advisory Service. He has rich economic research experience in academia, international institutions and business consulting, and has provided macroeconomic and strategic advice to the C-level executives of more than 100 multinational companies, including dozens of Fortune 500 companies. At Deloitte China, Dr. Zhang provides macroeconomic and policy advice to senior executives of foreign and local companies, and helps multinational companies localize in the Chinese market and Chinese companies expand their global business.

Previously, Dr Zhang was Shanghai Director and China Research Head of The Economist Corporate Network. Before joining The Economist Group, Dr Zhang was an Assistant Professor of Economics at Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and a Visiting Scholar at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. During his doctoral studies, Dr Zhang also worked as a summer intern economist at the Asian Development Bank. Dr Zhang has directed and led a number of national research projects, and his research papers have been presented at several international academic and policy conferences, and some of them have been published in top academic journals. Dr Zhang taught macroeconomics and finance at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Zhang Guoxiong graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Ph.D. in Economics and a Master’s degree in Statistics. Dr Zhang also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Zhejiang University.
