Taicang Business Delegation: UK FMCG Factory Visits & Taicang Government Engagement 太仓商务考察: 英国快消品工厂探访及政企互动

China’s fast-growing consumer goods sector continues to attract international investment as multinational brands localise production and tap into the country’s advanced manufacturing ecosystem. From hygiene and household care to premium beauty and personal care, foreign enterprises are increasingly leveraging China’s industrial clusters, automated production capabilities, and supportive local business environments to strengthen their market presence and supply chain resilience.

In this context, BritCham Shanghai will lead a delegation of member representatives to Taicang, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, for a business fact-finding trip designed to deepen engagement between British enterprises and the local government, while showcasing best-in-class manufacturing operations in the region.

Participants will visit the manufacturing facilities of Reckitt China and Noble Isle to learn about how leading international brands operate in Taicang, Jiangsu Province. The programme includes a tour of Reckitt’s highly automated, digitalised production facility for hygiene products, illustrating Industry 4.0 practices at a benchmark foreign-invested plant, alongside a visit to Noble Isle’s site to explore how the British beauty brand blends authentic botanical ingredients with modern cosmetics manufacturing as part of its China market strategy.

The day also features a government-business exchange session, where Taicang officials will brief participants on the city’s economic development, business environment, and industrial policies during lunch time.

在此背景下，上海英国商会将于2026年10月23日率领会员企业代表前往江苏太仓，开展一场旨在深化英国企业与地方政府互动交流的商务考察活动，同时展示该地区的制造运营实力。

代表团将参访利洁时中国（Reckitt China）与贵族之岛（Noble Isle）的太仓工厂，实地了解领先国际品牌在太仓的生产和运营模式。行程包括参观利洁时高度自动化、数字化的生产基地，了解该基地快销生活用品的生产过程；同时参访贵族之岛，探索这一英国美妆品牌如何将纯正植物成分与现代美妆工艺相结合，并了解其深耕中国市场的战略布局。

当天活动还将设置政企交流环节，太仓市政府代表将向参会代表介绍太仓的经济发展、营商环境及产业政策，参会企业代表可与当地政府建立联系，并餐叙交流。
