BritCham Shanghai recently hosted the Creative Industries & Marketing (CIM) Committee Working Group Meeting, bringing together industry leaders from across creative, cultural, marketing, and experiential sectors for strategic discussion and exchange.
The meeting opened with an overview of the evolving role of BritCham Shanghai committees as member-led platforms, with a growing focus on advocacy, thought leadership, and cross-industry collaboration.
Participants were also briefed on the UK Modern Industrial Strategy 2035, which formally recognises Creative Industries as a priority sector. The strategy highlights the sector’s significant economic contribution and strong alignment with China-facing opportunities, particularly in design, architecture, immersive experiences, cultural exchange, and IP-led content.
