Summary

China’s 2022 Two Sessions (Lianghui) occurred between 4 -11 March. One of the main objectives was to confirm and release the Government Work Report, which not only reveals the anticipated GDP growth target of 2022 but also states plans for the country’s economy, society, environmental objectives, and more.

To interpret these policies and trends that would impact foreign businesses operating in China, we are delighted to invite Kent Kedl, Partner in Control Risks, Greater China and North Asia, to share his insights and perspectives in the following areas:

  • Key highlights from this year’s Government Work Report
  • Key policy orientation and government’s major tasks for 2022; and the implications for foreign businesses in China
  • How can foreign enterprises play their part in China’s green/low-carbon development goals
