On 9 February 2021, the State Taxation Administration issued the Announcement of the annual Individual Income Tax (IIT) Settlement in 2020, which kicked off the prelude to the second wave of IIT annual filling.

[1] In December 2018, the Ministry of Finance and State Tax Bureau released a policy of a three-year transitional treatment for some special individual income items (e.g. one-time annual bonus, eight items of non-taxable allowances for expatriate employees, etc). These preferential tax policies will be ended on 31 December 2021.
