The revised Women’s Protection Law (‘WPL’) becomes effective on 1 January 2023. Adopted on 30 October 2022, by the Standing Committee of the 13th National People’s Congress, the amendment is deemed to be the most comprehensive since its enactment – 30 years ago.

For companies, the changes set requirements to address gender discrimination in recruitment and hiring procedures, and curb workplace sexual harassment. Thus, enhancing women’s rights in the work environment.

Join us for a panel discussion on the legal changes and practical implications for HR and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) departments. We will be dissecting the amendments and looking at current best practices from three perspectives – legal, human resources, and DEI.
