Event details

This session is part of BritCham Shanghai’s SDG event series.

Employees spend most of their day-to-day life in the workplace. Therefore, employers have a responsibility to influence several aspects of employees’ health and lifestyle. For example, it is essential to advise employees on the benefits of healthy diets, appropriate physical activities, and positive physical and mental wellbeing.

Why? Because promoting the best workplace wellbeing possible can only have great results: encouraging teamwork, increasing productivity, and reducing sick leave.

In this session, we invite three experts to share their insights and experience from different aspects.

  • Nick Obolensky – Strategic view – moving leadership from 1.0 (done by leaders) to a dynamic, and the need to lead when uncertain without stress rather than passing on the stress!
  • Ans Hooft – Organisational view – How both employer and employee can enable a healthier environment
  • Elise Zhu – Individual view – understand how the brain works and how to use neuroscience to outsmart stress and improve resilience
