Join us for a night of fun-filled Scottish tradition, from haggis, neeps & tatties to wee drams of whisky, live Ceilidh music, bagpipes, energetic ceilidh dancing and much more.
This event is open to both members and non-members.

Blind people cannot see, but they can enjoy sports through their sense of hearing!
We visited 17 blind massage centres, a total of 58 blind individuals, and over 85% of the individuals there expressed a keen interest in sports. Due to the scarcity of sports programs adapted for the blind and transportation difficulties, blind individuals often end up confined to their homes, experiencing social isolation.
Our fundraising campaign aims to raise funds to purchase 2 sets of showdown equipment (costs around RMB 36,000), which will be donated to the local blind community in Shanghai. We will also assist them in establishing a showdown club to engage in daily activities.
Showdown is currently one of the most popular table-top competitive sports among blind individuals due to its simple rules and high entertainment value. This highly inclusive sport not only allows blind individuals to compete against each other but also encourages blind and sighted individuals to participate together. It not only promotes the physical and mental well-being of individuals with disabilities but also fosters better social understanding and inclusivity.

“Showdown in the dark” – An Exciting Challenge Against Paralympic Champion
Have you ever experienced playing sports in the darkness? This evening will take you on a journey into an entirely new realm of experience. Put on a blindfold, free yourself from sight, and rely solely on your hearing and intuition to challenge your limits. In this unique challenge, you will feel the difficulties that blind individuals overcome every day while discovering the strength and courage deep within yourself.
Not only will you have the opportunity to personally experience Showdown, but you’ll also compete alongside world Paralympic champion – Changgui Cai. Feel their unwavering spirit and contribute to the cause of visually impaired sports.
