On the morning of 1 June, BritCham Shanghai was delighted to host the British Trade Commissioner for China (HMTC), John Edwards, for a roundtable meeting with members at the Chamber office.
Also in attendance were Rahul Ahluwalia, Minister Counsellor, Financial Services & Investment, British Embassy Beijing; Sohail Shaikh, Minister Counsellor and Sector Director Creative, Consumer, Learning and Food Industries, British Consulate-General Shanghai; Andrew McAllister, Acting Consul-General, British Consulate-General Shanghai; Lucy Lu, Head of Banking and Capital Markets, British Consulate-General Shanghai.
At the meeting, Ray Chisnall, Chair of BritCham Shanghai, welcomed our guests from British Embassy Beijing. Moderated by John, the attendees discussed subjects surrounding the Economy, Regulatory, and Bilateral Relationship between the UK and China.
It was a great opportunity for members to share the business challenges and opportunities with the HMTC.
