BritCham Shanghai welcomes a new Executive Committee Vice Chair

27 Jun 2022

We are delighted to announce that Kirsten Johnston, Founder & CEO of JWDK, has been appointed as the Vice Chair of the Executive Committee at the British Chamber Shanghai, starting from June 2022 until the next BritCham Shanghai Executive Committee election.

Kirsten Johnston
Founder & CEO, JWDK

“Kirsten has been involved in the Chamber since 2017 and is an exceptional asset to the Chamber. Kirsten pioneered the Chambers’ award-winning branding and has been instrumental in the growth of our Creative Industry committee, in which she remains Co-Chair. As we continue to move the Chamber forward and push ahead with some of our key initiatives, Kirsten’s experience and unquestionable commitment to continuing to enhance the Chamber’s work will be key.”

—— Ray Chisnall, Chair, BritCham Shanghai

Meanwhile, we would also like to take this opportunity to thank Caroline Taylor, prior Head of College, Dulwich College Shanghai, Pudong for her support and contribution as the Vice Chair of BritCham Shanghai Executive Committee during the past years.

“Caroline had spent over ten years in China and has been very involved in the Chamber over the past few years, particularly when she was co-opted onto the board as an at-large member in April 2021 and later moved to vice-chair. Caroline has been an excellent ambassador for the education sector for the Chamber; with her support, we have revitalised the education committee and issued several letters to Shanghai and UK governments to advocate for market reforms. She now moves to Switzerland with her new role at Dulwich. On behalf of the executive committee, secretariat, and I’m sure the wider membership, we wish Caroline all the best in her next chapter.”

—— James Dunn, Executive Director, BritCham Shanghai
