The event began with participants mingling freely in the hotel lobby, networking and exchanging industry insights. Subsequently, Adam Davis, Business Development Manager of BritCham Shanghai, introduced the Chamber’s history and its network in East China, helping both new and existing members gain a deeper understanding of the Chamber’s mission and resources.
Next, attendees sat in a circle and took turns introducing their professional backgrounds, hobbies, and more, discovering many common interests among themselves. A highlight of the event was the traditional Chinese aromatherapy experience, led by senior aromatherapist Haiwei Xu. Participants enjoyed a soothing essential oil massage, immersing themselves in the healing power of nature. This session was highly praised by all attendees, adding a relaxed and joyful ambiance to the event while offering a unique interactive experience.
This social mixer not only provided participants with a chance to unwind after work, but also allowed them to forge new friendships in a cheerful and laid-back setting. BritCham Shanghai will continue to organise diverse events in the future to help members connect, expand their networks and explore business opportunities.
