On the evening of 28 November, the British Chamber of Commerce Shanghai welcomed around 400 guests to the Kerry Hotel Pudong in celebration of Scotland’s national day at the St. Andrew’s Ball 2020.
Generously supported by our Title Sponsor, Scotland Is Now, the night was a remarkable success. Scotland Is Now also showcased the best of Scotland by introducing many fine Scottish products, ranging from food and beverages to fabrics, fragrances, and technology products.
Throughout the night, drinks were continuously flowing, with Talisker Storm whisky sponsored by Diageo, wine sponsored by St. James’s Place, and beer sponsored by Boxing Cat, Goose Island and Guinness.
Our Entertainment Sponsor, Continuum Shanghai Trading Ltd., not only provided an authentic Ceilidh band for the night, but also brought to the audience a special performance of the ‘Address to the Haggis’.
Special thanks to our Photo Point Sponsor naked Castle, Insurance Partner Lloyd’s Insurance, Hotel Partner Kerry Hotel Pudong, and many in-kind sponsors!
Finally, a big thank-you to our guests for attending the Ball and helping to raise funds for Lifeline. A total of RMB 55,394 was raised on the night, of which RMB 30,000 was donated by St. James’ Place Shanghai, and RMB 25,394 by our guests.
